- Yes and no.
- The rule of thumb is: long cable -> slower speed
- So if you are going to use a 30m cable you can probaly just use 9600bps at best.
- This will be HORRIBLE to work with.
- You should consider getting some good amplifiers that use twisted pair cables.
- Or maybe some ARCnet adapters, i have seen them cheap somewere.
- Then you will get slightly more than floppy speed on the network.
